Several reasons makes me like Blogger. Mainly because it's free and allow monetization (unlike other services like Wordpress.com). Many other services may offer a wordpress platform for free, but they'll do share earning or take a little fee after some time. It's not the case for Blogger, you are here free to do whatever you like.
Another reason: You can trust Blogger platform, it's robust and you can get hundred of thousands of visitors a day, without any bandwith limits...
Monetization for your blog is easy, just click the monetize tab; but wait it's dominated by Google Adsense, a Google product. Okay, they have reason to do, any way, if you want to add other third party monetization type, you can do so by inserting its' Javascript code.
Today, they come up with something more innovative: amazon associates integration. The idea is to quickly insert amazon links without even visiting Amazon website. (you can even sign up in Blogger directly). Now on the monetize tab you'll find Amazon gadget also. This gadget "product finder" will allow you to quickly find products and insert links when you are writing your blog post.
